Good life is, hands down, the best dentist I've ever had! Dr Schafer is thorough in his explanation of what he is going to do as well as what needs done in the future. He doesn't try to sell you anything he simply tells you what he sees and leaves it up to you.

I've had many dentists over the years on the East Coast and the West and Dr. Shafer is top-notch. He was prompt, thorough and efficient in his work, explained what he was doing and why. I was very pleased with all parts of the procedure and my treatment and would gladly recommend him to others. I also was pleased with Paula who did the best cleaning and least uncomfortable I've ever had anywhere. Thank you to the whole crew.

I haven't been to a dentist in a long time. My Hygienist, Stephanie, was fantastic and very much put me at ease. Dr. Shafer was positive and upbeat. He took time to explain my dental health (with lots of really cool pictures) and a no-nonsense plan of care. At no time was there any shame, pressuring or negativity of any kind. I have a follow-up in a month and it's the first time in my life that I'm NOT dreading the dentist!

My son has been seeing a pediatric dentist and now at 17 has “graduated” to this general practice. After his first cleaning he told me that this was the most comfortable (both physically and emotionally) dental visit he’s ever had. I'm not a big fan of going to the dentist because I grew up always feeling the drill, my entire life (60 yrs.) Dr. Shafer (at my request) does a cocktail and doubles up on my numbing experience and I never feel the drill. No zingers. That's my worst fear.

Excellent service from start to finish. From being phoned to start the appointment early as I arrived in the parking lot, to walking through the open doorway, encouraged to use hand-santizer, temperature gun at the ready, straight through to a seat via a one way system, and a thorough cleaning and a quick visit from the dentist. My next appointment was arranged whilst I was sitting comfortably, and I was guided back out the one way system. I loved the empty waiting room and that no money changed hands during the visit! All staff were masked, with gloves, but otherwise their usual friendly and efficient selves. It was a very reassuring visit during these usual times!

I've been dealing with a medical issue for a little over a week. The doctors (medical) keep telling me "It's viral, it will go away on its own." 10 days, almost 5 bottles of liquid children's ibuprofen and $160 in copay fees I was getting irritated. I called Dr. Shafer's office because I wanted to eliminate my teeth as a possible reason. My initial call was just before 7 a.m. and was expecting only a voicemail telling me their hours. Surprise! I got a voice! I explained my situation and was expecting a future date to be seen. I was in the office by 7:30 that morning. I was ecstatic. This staff is extremely professional and courteous and they really listen to your ramblings. I'm glad I found this practice. They make you feel at home and listen to your concerns. I was greeted by a young lady at the front desk who was very friendly and made me feel welcome. I am new patient so there were some forms that I had filled out and brought with me. She informed the hygienist that I had arrived and within a few minutes I met Paula my hygienist. She was a delight to work with. I love to talk and she was delightful. She made it a really pleasant visit. Near the end she showed me the x-rays and walked me through general status of my teeth, i.e. crowns, bridges, implants etc. The cleaning was thorough and without any pain. Then I met Dr. Shafer. He is a real likeable person and dentist. The examination was thorough. He offered his conclusions on what needed to be done. We discussed a plan for the recommended treatment. I really want a comfortable and trusting relationship with my dentist and hygienist and I am hoping this is going to be the one. Excellent start.

Dr. Shafer and his team are all welcoming, brilliant, and professional. They have state of the art technology that allowed me to get my crowns custom made, fitted and completed the whole process in just a few hours. They do everything possible to make the patient feel comfortable, including netflix, etc. I have had extensive work done on my teeth over the years, and I have suffered through a lot of it, but since switching to Good Life, I can remain calm, knowing that my care is their priority, and assured of their competence.

Awesome Dental Practice. I'm so pleased to have found my new long term dentist. Elyse and Kristy are super pleasant and efficiently run the front of house. My first visit involved an excellent and very thorough cleaning with Kate, the hygienist. A few weeks later, I had both an old filling and crown that needed replacement done in only 2 hours. I have a long term irrational fear of going to the dentist. As a new patient I can not speak highly enough about the treatment I received (both dental and as a "customer") from Dr. Shafer and the entire staff. They have truly gone above and beyond to make me feel welcome and comfortable. While I may not ever "look forward to going to the dentist" I can safely say...I look forward to see those in the office. I don't feel like a number...but a valued patient they truly care about. I strongly recommend their practice for anyone looking for a positive dental experience, especially those with the same irrational fear I have. Thank you!
